This social media edutainment initiative Kliick educates young people across Europe about the digital world, empowering them to become self-driven and confident users of digital devices and digital tools.

Originating in Germany, Kliick now educates young people across multiple countries on a wide range of topics relating to the digital world, with a different focus topic each year: from the use of digital devices, social media and data literacy to staying safe online and digital wellbing.

This year’s campaign focuses on Digital Wellbeing and will run under the slogan

#Unplugged

‘#Unplugged’ is designed to encourage young people to adopt more mindful digital habits as part of a healthier approach to the usage of digital devices and to re-engage with the world around them. The campaign wants to help young people to take back control of their screen time, not by preaching digital abstinence, but by promoting a more balanced, mindful approach to everyday digital device use.

We work together with creators to produce and publish videos that speak the language of the youth and interact on an eye-to-eye level, enabling us to educate them in an entertaining and subtle way. The aim is to provide fundamental knowledge on how technologies work and how they can be used for doing good, but also stress how they can harm individuals and others.

Last year’s campaign ‘Me Myself & AI’ was designed to help young people better understand the mechanisms, risks and opportunities associated with AI, as well as providing content that could help support educators across the globe. The campaign aimed to help reach young people from less privileged backgrounds who might otherwise have limited access to information or education about AI.
