Over 160 teachers participate in Vodafone Foundation in Romania's School of the Future Conference

In this event, the Foundation announced the launch of 48 new learning activities available on its e-learning platform

Vodafone Foundation in Romania held its National Conference “School of the Future: Resources and transdisciplinary content for secondary school teachers” on October 15th, with the participation of more than 160 teachers from all over the country.

In this event, organized in partnership with the School Inspectorate of the Municipality of Bucharest, the Foundation announced the launch of 48 new learning activities available on the https://www.scoaladinviitor.ro/ e-learning platform. These activities are adapted to the Romanian national curriculum, grouped into four thematic modules: Environment & Ecology, Digital Intelligence, Robotics and Prepare for the Future.

The conference started with a series of talks debating the role of technology in education, the emotional health of students, hate speech and discrimination. Guest speakers were:

  • Dr. Mircea Miclea, University Professor (former Minister of Education).
  • Domnica Petrovai, Clinical Psychologist.
  • Dr. Csaba Asztalos (President of the National Council for Combating Discrimination).
  • Dr. Mihnea Moisescu (Dean of the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Science).


  • In the second part of the event, the participants attended one of 4 workshops:

  • Environment & Ecology,
  • Digital Intelligence,
  • Robotics
  • and Prepare for the Future,


  • with the goal to have a better understanding of the new content and the ways of using it in class.
